New Covent Garden Soup Co. create a wide range of hearty soups based on seasonal vegetables and for a limited time they are celebrating tomatoes with the launch of a vegan version of a classic and comforting favourite – creamy tomato soup.
The Vegan Creamy Tomtato soup (£2.20) is packed with sweet, juicy tomatoes which have been blended with Creamy Sheese™ and basil and makes for a perfect warming lunchtime treat.
Describing the soup, the company said: “Tomato soup is a classic recipe loved by everyone so this month we are bringing you a simple creamy tomato soup with a twist. Instead of using dairy, our chefs have used a vegan alternative to cream cheese to provide the irresistible creamy & comforting taste and texture. A sprinkling of basil and rosemary and a pinch of salt and black pepper finish off this recipe perfectly.”
