Love is in the air, and what better way to celebrate in lockdown than with an indulgent three-course vegan meal. M&S has got you covered this Valentine’s Day with some tempting Plant Kitchen options for your vegan feast.

To start you off, M&S has brought back its Christmas favourite, the Plant Kitchen Mushroom Paté. This vegan version of the classic meat paste is made with shiitake mushrooms and topped with a red onion jelly.

For your main, try the new Plant Kitchen No-Beef Creamy Peppercorn Pie featuring chunks of pea protein ‘beef’ in an indulgent peppercorn sauce. The creamy filling is encased in flaky pastry and is topped with a gorgeous black pepper heart.

On the side, you can choose from some healthy veg in the form of Extra-fine Asparagus or Tenderstem Broccoli, or indulge in the Plant Kitchen Potato Dauphinoise. This dreamy side dish features sliced British potatoes in a creamy dairy-free sauce seasoned with garlic, cracked pepper and nutmeg. If you prefer something simple, serve your pie with M&S Frites – skinny seasoned fries that go with everything!

Who could forget dessert? For your chocolate fix, M&S has created Plant Kitchen Love Heart Churros: fried heart-shaped dough with a cinnamon sprinkle and a rich chocolate dip. Alternatively, opt for fresh Strawberries in a Heart-Shaped Punnet for some love-infused vitamin C.

To finish off your meal, choose from the Conte Priuli Prosecco, Conte Priuli Prosecco Rosé or the Vinalta Argentinian Malbec. If alcohol isn’t your thing, opt for one of the non-alcoholic soft drink alternatives including Elderflower Pressé, Orange and Mango Pressé, Lime and Lemongrass Pressé, or Blackberry and Elderflower Pressé.

The M&S vegan Valentine’s Menu will set you back £20 which is pricier than most other supermarkets, but it includes savings of up to £16.50, and the prosecco is worth £12 alone! The range will be in store from the 10th-14th February – so don’t miss out!
