M&S has released a rich and luxurious vegan dessert for chocolate lovers

Marks & Spencer has added a new vegan-friendly dessert its Gastropub line – a rich and indulgent Chocolate Torte.
The Gastropub Chocolate Tortes (£3.50) feature sumptuously smooth dark chocolate ganache on a crunchy biscuit base which makes for a luxurious pudding served with a side of dairy-free cream.
M&S has launched a huge selection of vegan products from ice creams and marshmallows to meat-free kievs under its vegan Plant Kitchen range, but these new desserts are being released in the Gastropub line which is comprised of restaurant-style dishes to enjoy at home.

“Say hello to our brand new vegan-friendly Gastropub Chocolate Tortes – sumptuously smooth dark chocolate ganache on a crunchy biscuit base,” the retailer said in a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living.
“M&S is the only retailer on the high street to replicate cream with a lentil protein in our vegan products – and wow do these choc-tastic desserts taste GOOD. Pick up a pack of 2 Gastropub Chocolate Tortes for just £3.50.”
The retailer recently announced it would be launching a novel new dessert in time for Halloween in the form of the gruesome but delicious Petrifying Popping Candy Brain.
Available in stores from October 26th, the apple flavoured jelly is shaped into a realistically gruesome monster brain, with a bloody raspberry drizzle and popping candy sprinkle.
