‘Pigs in blankets’ are a staple for many people at Christmas but are firmly off-limits to vegans thanks to the fact they consist of a pork sausage wrapped in a slice of bacon.

Thankfully they’re back on the menu for vegans this year thanks to Morrisons supermarket who have just launched a vegan version of the popular product – Veggies in Blankets.

Releases as part of the supermarkets brand new affordable vegan range, the product is described as a ‘blend of tomato, potato, mushroom and basil’

According to The Guardian, the supermarket chain has been on a mission to increase its range of vegan products in a bid to improve the supermarket’s popularity and increase appeal amongst its younger consumers.
