Morrisons announced the launch of a footlong vegan sausage roll and a vegan pork pie, and now it’s back with another plant-based product that’s perfect for Christmas – vegan pigs in blankets.

Perfect as a canape at your Christmas party or as a side dish for your Christmas dinner, Morrisons No-Pigs in Blankets will be available to purchase in stores nationwide from 27 November and will be sold in packs of 10 for £2.50.

Morrisons Vegan No-Pigs in Blankets are made using a blend of jackfruit and chickpeas to give them a mwaty texture and are are hand-wrapped in a crispy streaky pastry blanket to give them the ‘pigs in blankets’ look.

In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Morrisons Party Food Expert, Leanne Walters, said: “Pigs in blankets are one of the UK’s favourite Christmas treats so we have created a meat-free version that can be enjoyed by vegans or anybody else.”
