Vegan fast food restaurant, Miami Burger, is launching its range of plant-based burgers in Morrisons supermarket in the UK this month.

Miami Burger opened to doors to its first restaurant in Reading earlier this year, and now it’s getting set to launch its first range of products, which are completely free from plastic packaging, at over 280 Morrisons supermarkets in the freezer aisle.

Perfect for summer parties, the range offers a variety of plant-based patties for customers to choose from to suit every taste. For those who enjoy a more traditional vegan bean burger, Miami Burger’s ‘True Veg Burgers‘ will hit the spot, whilst the ‘Classic Miami burgers‘ will be popular with those looking for a meatless burger that resembles a beef burger.

Following the news that KFC’s vegan ‘chicken’ burger sold out just four days after launching, fans will be pleased to hear that Miami Burger is launching a ‘Louisiana Chick’n Burger‘ so you can make your own cruelty-free version at home.

Healthy

Founder Tom Bursnall is keen to offer something new to the retail market by making his fast food products as healthy as possible. For instance, the Miami Burger contains 0.6g of saturated fat in comparison to over 3.5g found in similar “well-known” plant-based burger brands.

The burgers also boast palm oil and coconut oil-free credentials as the brand is keen to set themselves apart from competitors by being more sustainable.

“When the manufacturer came back with a product made with sunflower oil, we asked if they could replace that with rapeseed oil, and when they did we asked if they could make it with even less, ” said Bursnall in a statement sent to The Grocer.

“We think the nature of consumption in fast food will be very different in 20 years’ time, with significantly less saturated fat and sugar, less plastic, and less animal. No one is doing any of this so we thought we would.”

Highlighting the health credentials of the products on its website, the company states: “We’ve hacked fast food so that you can relax and enjoy it. We threw out the deep fat fryers, reduced the sat fats and stripped out the crazy-high sugars. In a nutshell; oven baked not deep fried, grains not meat and healthy sweeteners not sugar. But always 100% tasty. What’s not to like?

Bursnall also revealed that Miami Burger plans on adding more products to its retail line such as “ultra-healthy” vegan coleslaw, mayonnaise, and mac ‘n’ cheese.

The Miami Burger range will launch in Morrisons on July 8th.
