Vegan lunch on the go at M&S
While M&S may not be the go-to place for a quick office lunch as it doesn’t offer a meal deal, this Veganuary there are two new lunch options to tickle your fancy.
First up is the No-Lamb Shawarma. This meat-free sarnie is stuffed with wheat protein ‘lamb’, vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic dressing, tomato and chilli sauce, salted potato fries, spinach, and red onion on a soft flatbread.
Also available is the Plant Kitchen VLT – a vegan take on the classic BLT
It features wheat and pea protein rashers with vegan ‘baconnaise’, lettuce and tomatoes on soft malted bread.

Savoury temptations
Alongside new lunch options, M&S has also launched some plant-based dinners and sides.
These are in addition to the existing Plant Kitchen range with everything from sweet potato katsu curry to rich and creamy vegan lasagne and meat-free chilli.
Joining the likes of Domino’s who recently released a vegan pepperoni pizza, M&S has just debuted a Wood-Fired Hot and Spicy Pizza with vegan pepperoni.
This fiery pizza turns up the heat with jalapenos and Roquito chillies, and tomato sauce spiked with hot smoked paprika. It’s the perfect alternative to your Friday-night takeaway.

Also new to the Plant Kitchen range this Veganuary are the Vegan Fish Fingers made from rice and potato flakes and coated in a crispy golden crumb.
We can’t wait to make a vegan version of one of our fave comfort foods from childhood – a fish-finger sarnie!
Among the new additions is the newly launched Plant Kitchen Tikka Masala that is the delicious alternative for your Friday night takeaway.
According to the retailer, the same cooking techniques have been used “to craft a vegan recipe, containing 12 fragrant, balanced spices, creamy coconut milk, flame-grilled onions, roasted squash and cauliflower.”
Get your garlic bread ready because another hot new product in stores now is the Plant Kitchen Lasagne.
According to M&S, this Italian classic has taken their chefs a year to perfect to ensure it’s every bit as delicious as the original.
Described as an umami flavour bombe, it has a rich ragu combined with a creamy vegan béchamel and topped with Santarella tomatoes.
The lasagne isn’t the only Italian dish to get a vegan makeover as M&S has also launched Veggie Balls made from mushrooms, onions, garlic and miso.
These flavoursome meat-free balls are can be cooked in the same way as meatballs and are ready to eat in just 10 minutes.
Moreover, they are also gluten-free, a source of protein, high in fibre, low in saturated fat and one of your five-a-day.
New M&S vegan sweet treats
Alongside a host of new savour products, M&S is ensuring those will a sweet tooth can also get their sugar fix this January!
One of our favourite new products joining the range are the epic new Vegan Chocolate Cake Jars.
M&S broke the internet last year with the launch of their non-vegan cake jars and continuously sold out in stores across the UK. And now, vegans can join the hunt for the elusive cake jars too!
The Plant Kitchen cake jar features chocolate sponge cake layered with chocolate buttercream, Belgian chocolate sauce, biscuit balls and decorated with dark chocolate. What more could any vegan chocoholic want?
And that’s not all! M&S has also launched Plant Kitchen Creamy Cookie Pots. These scrumptious sweet pots are comprised of cookie biscuit bases with cookie and coconut batter, topped with Belgian dark chocolate ganache and cookie biscuit. We may or may not be drooling…
