The M&S vegan Christmas range for 2021 is packed with festive flavours and favourites to treat yourself to this winter.
Christmas is just around the corner, and it’s safe to say we’re all hoping for a chance to get together and enjoy some good company and some good food.
The vegan product range from M&S has been growing and growing, and it’s no surprise that they have some tasty and innovative treats for us this winter.
Here’s a look at some of the fabulous festive flavours available from M&S’s Plant Kitchen range this year.
1. Vegan Duck Croquettes
These duck-style croquettes will make a tasty starter with a difference, or a festive party snack.
Made from shredded soy protein and coated with crispy breadcrumbs, they come with a sweet cherry hoisin sauce for dipping.
A pack of 6 (enough to serve 2) is £4.
2. Plant Kitchen Selection Box
An easy way to serve up your Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, this selection box contains everything you need to accompany your roast.
The box contains triple-cooked roast potatoes, red cabbage, cauliflower and leek bake and a garnish selection featuring vegan pigs in blankets and apple and cranberry stuffing balls.
Available exclusively from M&S Christmas Food to Order, costing £25 for enough to serve 4 people.
3. Vegan Beef Wellington
M&S’s meat-free centrepiece this year is the Plant Kitchen ‘Beef’ Wellington.
Featuring a wheat and pea-based beef-style fillet topped with a rich mushroom duxelle, this golden pastry feast will look stunning on your Christmas table.
The Wellington serves 4 for £15.
5. Vegan Butternut, Almond & Pecan Roast
If meat substitutes aren’t your thing this colourful main might just hit the spot instead.
This slice-and-share roast contains a flavourful mixture of roasted sweet squash, mixed nuts, beans, and cranberries and comes with a red wine and thyme gravy.
It’s available at a price of £8 for 4 servings.
6. Plant Kitchen Christmas Pudding
This perfectly matured Christmas pudding is delicately spiced and packed with juicy vine fruits, cider, rum, and sherry.
The pudding is gluten-free as well as vegan, and can be simply steamed, boiled, or microwaved.
A single-serving pack costs £2.
7. Vegan Melt in the Middle Chocolate Pudding
For those who prefer a less traditional festive dessert, this decadent, chocolate-y pudding is sure to do the trick.
The soft, chocolate sponge pudding has a hidden centre of smooth Belgian chocolate sauce.
The 500g dessert serves 6 for £10.
8. Plant Kitchen Mince Pies
A favourite festive treat, these shortcrust pastry mini pies are filled with M&S’s classic mincemeat.
They can be served warm or cold and are available at £2.50 for a pack of 4.
9. No pork pigs in duvets
This year sees the return of M&S’s popular No Chorizo Pigs in Duvets – and this time they brought a friend!
The new No Pork Pigs in Duvets feature seasoned mushroom and soya-based cocktail sausages wrapped in vegan puff pastry.
Both the No Pork and No Chorizo Pigs in Duvets are available at £5 for 324g.
10. Roast Beetroot Bourguignon Pie
This crown of puff pastry is filled with beetroots, parsnips, and carrots in a rich red wine sauce.
It’s topped with a savoury crumble of chestnut and sunflower seeds for extra crunch.
This pie easily cooks from frozen and is just £6 for enough to serve 4.
11. Potato, Caramelised Onion & Truffle Flavour Pie
These single-serve pies are packed with layers of potato and caramelised onion, all with a truffle flavour.
They’re perfect for smaller festive meals and cost £6.50 for a pack of 2.
12. Cranberry & Orange Stuffing Balls
To accompany your Christmas meal (or as a snack – we won’t judge) these mushroom-based stuffing balls will really tingle your taste buds.
The cranberry and orange flavoured balls are gluten-free and cost £3 for a 276g pack.
