Lush’s in-house makeup artist has been busy designing a new range of completely vegan makeup brushes.
Lush’s in-house makeup artist, Meg Edwards, has designed a brand new range of completely vegan and cruelty-free makeup brushes to be sold by the cruelty-free cosmetics company.
The brushes are made entirely from vegan-friendly materials, including the glue, and in keeping with Lush’s mission to create products that have a lower impact on the environment they are also made from recycled aluminium, biodegradable sustainable sourced wood and a cellulose-based lacquer.
The brushes range between £7.50 to £32 to be in line with other brands offering similar high-end artistry tools, and a full set of 13 brushes can be purchased for £225.
Speaking about the range of luxurious makeup brushes, Edwards said: “We tried and tested an array of different brushes and synthetic fibres until we had a perfect collection. We’re confident the range of brushes will deliver professional results. They’re easy to use and they have a luxurious, premium feel!”
Egg Free
Lush recently announced its decision to remove eggs from all of its products claiming the truth about egg production is so unpalatable.
The company has experimented with many ingredients to ensure the products are still as effective as ever to use and will be using chickpea aquafaba, tofu, soya yoghurt and wheat gluten to replace eggs in the products.
