Plant-based food pioneers Linda McCartney’s have been producing vegan and vegetarian meat alternatives for 30 years. Now the company is branching out into the world of dairy alternatives with the launch of a brand new range of plant-based milk drinks.
The company is making its debut in the plant-based drinks category with four varieties of vegan milks to choose from including Barista Style Organic Oat, Barista Style Organic Coconut, Organic Soya, and Organic Rice.
Linda McCartney’s new plant milk range can be used in a wide range of recipes from smoothies to baking, but perform beautifully in hot drinks too to give them a creamy texture similar to dairy milk.
What’s more, the new range of plant-based drinks are both kind to the planet and your body as they contain no added-sugar and are made with 4-6 organic ingredients, with no hidden nasties.
Where to buy Linda McCartney’s plant milks
Priced at £1.99 for a 1lt carton, the full range Linda McCartney’s milk drinks will be available to purchase from Sainsbury’s from 28th June.
However, Tesco shoppers will be able to get their hands on the new Barista Style Organic Oat & Barista Style Organic Coconut drinks from 12th May for three weeks
‘Need for versatility and variety’
Speaking to Vegan Food & Living, Linda McCartney’s MD Nadine Maggi said the launch marked the beginning of a “new phase” for the brand as it celebrates its 30th birthday with exciting new product launches.
With so many vegan milk alternatives available on the market, Maggi said the company has recognised consumer’s “need for versatility and variety” with the new milk drinks, and “feel confident that our new range of plant-based drinks offers something for everyone’s usage needs.”
According to Maggi, Linda McCartney’s is “particularly looking forward to helping people with choice and we hope to become a household favourite.”
