Meat-free mealtimes are about to get even easier as Linda McCartney’s is welcoming back its plant-based Vegemince.

As we enter the start of autumn, we’re thinking about cooking up hearty, warming dishes such as lasagne, bolognese and shepherd’s pies and this versatile ingredient is just the thing to use in place of meat.

As well as being kind to animal and the planet, the new Vegemince is also low in saturated fat and high in protein and so is better for your body too.

Vegemince will be first product to be featured in the company’s brand new packaging which has been developed closely with creative input from the McCartney family themselves.

Daughter and vegetarian fashion designer Stella McCartney penned the following biography on the back of the pack: “In 1991, Linda’s love of animals, the planet, food and family inspired a revolutionary new veggie food company. Today more than ever, its caring and sustainable values make us proud to be part of what she started. Plant-based food for planet earth, from our heart to your home.”

You can find the new Linda McCartney’s Vegemince in the freezer aisle at Morrisons from later September and from Sainsbury’s in early October. Vegemince will retail at £3.00 per pack.
