LEON teams up with Heura to launch an exclusive vegan chicken wrap with proceeds supporting displaced LGBTQ+ people

LEON has partnered with vegan meat brand Heura to support LGBTQ+ refugees with a vegan chicken wrap.

To celebrate Pride in the UK, the brands have come together to launch an exclusive Vegan Harissa Chick’n wrap as part of the ‘Powered by Pride’ campaign.

Proceeds from the Vegan Harissa Chick’n Wrap will go towards the UN Refugee Agency’s work to protect LGBTQ+ people who have been forced to flee their homes.

The vegan chicken wrap is flavoured with Mediterranean spices, vibrant vegetables, Heura’s vegan chicken and finished with LEON’s Harrisa sauce.

With every sale made via the LEON app using the discount code ‘POWEREDBYPRIDE’, Heura will donate £3 to the UNHCR. What’s more, customers will get a free iced coffee and be able to add their own donations to the charity at participating LEON restaurants.

“We knew we had to leverage this momentum for good”

Moreover, the Co-Founder of Heura Foods, Bernat Añaños, shared: “We were so thrilled with the positive response from UK consumers when we first launched Heura in LEON, we knew we had to leverage this momentum for good.

“And while there is still a lot to be done, we greatly respect and admire the work UNHCR is doing to protect and serve displaced people within the community, and hope that “Powered by Pride” can act as a reminder that every action has the power to drive positive change.”

Glenn Edwards, LEON Managing Director added: “We look forward to Pride revellers getting the chance to try this summer menu dish while supporting a very worthy cause.”

Furthermore, you can find the Vegan Harissa Chick’n Wrap across 74 LEON stores in the UK
