Leading UK sandwich brand Urban Eat has announced the launch of five new vegan sandwiches this August, three of which will contain vegan cheese.

The new options containing plant-based cheeses will be the Hot Mozza Bella Panini (dairy-free mozzarella, chilli peppers, pesto and tomato), the Pickle Me Up Sandwich (cheddar-style cheese with pickle, red onion, tomato and salad leaves) and the Sweet Baby Cheesus Wrap (dairy-free mozzarella, tomato, salad leaves and pesto).

The other two additions to the vegan menu will be the Avolafel Sandwich (avocado falafel, pesto, red pepper tapenade and salad leaves) and the Dirty Jack Wrap (BBQ jackfruit, carrot coleslaw, sweetcorn, salad leaves and ‘dirty’ sauce). Less cheesy, but just as good!

With the addition of these new products, Urban Eat’s Roots collection will offer vegan consumers a total of twelve different lunchtime options. Isla Owen, Senior Marketing Manager at the wholesaler behind Urban Eat (Adelie Foods) said in a statement: ‘The new products will help retailers and foodservice suppliers cater for the growing market of consumers looking for more ‘free from’ options during lunchtime.’

The new sandwiches will hit stores on August 20th
