Tesco has partnered Asian food brand KellyDeli to launch a ‘multi-concept food offer’ in one of its stores.

Kelly’s Market, which is now open in Wokingham Tesco, offers some 60 dishes – 21 of which are suitable for vegans.

The food on offer is inspired by a range of cuisines, from Korean to Mexican to Asian street food, described as a ‘mixing pot of wildly vibrant cuisines, exotic adventures and soulful heritage’.

The five food concepts include CKN + BAO, Dos Mexicanas, BamTuk, My Little Dim Sum and Little Moons ice cream mochi.

All dishes, which include hot and cold plant-based options like loaded nachos, dim sum, and bao buns, are prepared on-site by trained chefs every day, with prices starting at £2.95.

A further nine of the food outlets are set to open in Tesco stores across the UK throughout this year.

According to a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, the market is set to ‘elevate grab-and-go food by providing high quality hot and cold dishes for consumers, who can conveniently shop the concepts in their local supermarket’.

Managing director of KellyDeli UK, Ian Roberts, said the brand was pleased with the partnership.

He said: “We’re proud to partner with the UK’s biggest retailer, Tesco, to launch Kelly’s Market, pushing the boundaries of hot serve food in-store and bringing a choice of world cuisine to consumers through multiple channels.”

Consumers will be able to purchase hot or cold food-to-go in-store at select UK Tesco supermarkets, as well as via Click & Collect and delivery partners.
