Kat Von D has announced that the proceeds made from her Everlasting Liquid Lipstick line will go to Farm Sanctuary to help them to continue their work.

Last summer, Kat Von D developed a limited edition “matte, orange x red Everlasting Liquid Lipstick,” with the proceeds from the sales of the line going directly to Project Chimps, a nonprofit organisation that rehabilitates chimpanzees who have been used for cosmetic testing. As a result, a total of $236,000 was donated to the sanctuary.

This year she’s decided to create a beautiful range of vegan lipsticks, the proceeds of which will go towards helping Farm Sanctuary to continue their work.

Farm Sanctuary

Cruelty-free make-up fans everywhere rejoiced when Von D has announced that her makeup line, Kat Von D Beauty, was set to launch four shiny new Everlasting Liquid Lipstick shades, the proceeds of which will go to Farm Sanctuary to help them to continue their work.

Von D originally announced the launch of the new range of lipsticks in May, and posted the details of the Farm Sanctuary Collection on Instagram, saying:

I’ve been testing out 4 NEW SHADES for the upcoming @katvondbeauty charity this year which proceeds will benefit @farmsanctuary! I’m naming this beautiful terra-cotta brick shade: “Hilda” – after the very first animal rescued by @farmsanctuary in 1986. Hilda was a sheep that had been found discarded on top of a pile of dead animals in a stockyard left to die slowly from starvation and neglect. Thankfully, because of compassionate activists like @genebaur and the folks over at @farmsanctuary, innocent animals [just like Hilda] are rescued, rehabilitated, and given a chance to live a long, loving life – and I can’t wait to raise money from these 4 new Everlasting Liquid Lipstick shades to donate to @farmsanctuary! @katvondbeauty will be posting sneak peeks of all 4 new shades from the Farm Sanctuary Collection soon, so stay tuned! [one of them is a metallic foil midnight blue that you’re gonna go crazy about!] and as always, all @katvondbeauty lipsticks are #crueltyfree and #vegan! 🖤 #comingsoon #limitededition #beautythatgivesback #farmsanctuary #nothingwrongwithkindness

The sanctuary’s mission is “To protect farm animals from cruelty, to inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and to promote compassionate vegan living.”

Von D, who is a passionate and vocal vegan who often speaks up about topics like cruelty-free beauty and fashion on social media, said she was proud to wear her new vegan lipstick range because “cruelty is NEVER in fashion”.

Round of applause to @gucci for announcing that they are officially no longer using fur, starting Spring/Summer 2018! For a brand at this level to make such big changes speaks volumes, and I’m so fucking excited to see other designers follow suit! An extra big hug to all of my friends+followers who boycott purchasing fur – because as we all know, the power has always been in the people. What we choose to spend our money on directly dictates what products are produced – and bottom line is: cruelty is NEVER in fashion. ***on that note! I’m proudly wearing my new fave @katvondbeauty lipstick shade called “Hilda.” This shade is from the upcoming #FarmSanctuary collection – and proceeds will benefit @farmsanctuary! 🖤 #fuckfur #vegan #crueltyfree
