Award-winning singer Jessie J has admitted she can no longer be counted as one of the many vegan celebrities after years of eating a plant-based diet

The Price Tag star ditched animal products from her diet back in 2018 in an attempt to alleviate chronic pain stemming from fertility problems.

She hailed plant-based food for improving her life and regularly used her platform to promote veganism.

Last year, the celeb – whose real name is Jessica Cornish – revealed she had suffered a miscarriage just three hours after having a scan.

Now, Cornish is pregnant with her first child with partner Chanan Colman and is frequently documenting her journey with her 12.8 million Instagram followers.

However, fans were shocked to see the star tucking into a meal which appeared to be a chicken stew.

Captioning the story, Cornish explained: “Most of my days vegan, some days really not. [I’m] giving my body what it craves.”

The star hasn’t gone into any more detail about her diet since confirming she had gone back to eating animal products – including whether she will return to veganism once the baby is born.

Celebs u-turn on veganism

Jessie J isn’t the only celeb to turn their back on the vegan lifestyle. Last year, Bear Grylls revealed he had returned to eating meat and dairy.

In an interview with GQ, the Man vs Wild presenter claimed his previous vegan diet of raw juices and vegetables caused him to suffer from kidney pains.

He added that his ‘health tanked’ when following a plant-based diet.

Instead, the adventurer now eats a lot of red meat, eggs, and dairy – foods that have been criticized by professionals for contributing to several health issues such as type 2 diabetes and cancer.
