Impossible Foods has partnered with a well-known cinema chain to launch a new plant-based menu.

The meat-alternative brand has teamed up with more than 500 VOX Cinema locations across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Film fanatics will now be able to watch their film whilst tucking into plant-based nuggets, ‘beef’ burgers and hot dogs.

The collaboration coincides with the release of the film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.

According to reports, Noel Clarke of Impossible Foods said: “Creating a more sustainable food system is core to the mission of Impossible Foods.

“We’re thrilled to work with Vox to bring delicious plant-based burgers, sausages, and nuggets to their menu.”

Impossible Foods products are also currently in more than 200 foodservice locations across the UAE.

Last year, Impossible Foods confirmed it was working on on a plant-based version of filet mignon.

Founder Pat Brown confirmed the news in an interview with MIT Technology Review – but provided no specific launch date.

“I’ve tasted our filet mignon prototypes and they’re pretty damn good,” Brown said, adding that the product would only debut once it can compete against the equivalent animal product “head to head.”

“Stay tuned,” he insisted. “It’s definitely coming.”

However, the brand was pipped to the post after rival Beyond Meat revealed the launch of its vegan steak strips earlier this year.
