Iceland has released details of what vegan and palm-oil free products customers can expect to see hitting freezers this Christmas.
Frozen food supermarket Iceland has been on a mission to up its vegan offerings following the launch of the UK’s largest range of frozen meat alternatives and its popular No Bull ‘bleeding’ burgers. Now the supermarket chain has released details of what vegan products customers can expect to see hitting freezers this Christmas.
Plastic-free
After making waves with its thought-provoking anti-palm-oil advert last Christmas, the retailer is proud to offer a completely palm-oil free range of festive goodies. Not only that, many products will be available in entirely plastic-free packaging whilst others have had their packaging redeveloped to “significantly reduce” plastic.
Looking for tasty party nibbles to serve your guests? This year, Iceland is selling No Bull Burger Sliders which are mini plant-based cheeseburgers made from plant-protein that make fantastic finger food and taste just like a meat burger.
Taking inspiration from Asian cuisine, Iceland is also selling No Duck Spring Rolls filled with jackfruit and vegetables in hoisin sauce. Perfect for nibbling on as a canapé this Christmas.
Take the fuss out of catering with Iceland’s Tempura Vegetable Selection which consists of cooked baby corn, green beans, courgette and pumpkin pieces in a crispy tempura batter.
Last but not least is Iceland’s decadent festive vegan dessert – No Moo Chocolate Snowflakes. These beautiful single-portion snowflake-shaped puddings feature a melting middle encased in a vegan chocolate shell.
Vegan Christmas supermarket ranges
Waitrose supermarket has also released details of its impressive range of brand new vegan products launching this festive season to ensure everyone has a delicious Christmas. Customers can tuck into a huge range of tempting dishes such as the Vegan Festive Ring, Apple & Cranberry Bangers and Root En Croute.
Tesco shoppers will find vegan ‘pigs in blankets, an impressive Butternut Squash, Mushroom, and Chestnut Wreath, Carrot & Thyme Tarte Tatin and a Sweet Potato & Red Cabbage Christmas Log. There’s also a selection of desserts – if you’ve got room that is!
Asda and Aldi have also been getting in the Christmas spirit early delicious dishes such as Wellingtons and a very tempting looking chocolate swirl dessert!
Sainsbury’s has also unveiled its food-to-order options and it includes some mouth-watering new vegan options. Choose from dishes such as a platter of vegan pigs in blankets wrapped in vegan bacon, a seitan wellington and more!
