Ex-Eastenders actor Adam Woodyatt has taken a surprising career change after quitting the soap opera 2 years ago.
Famous for his role as Ian Beale, Woodyatt was spotted at CarFest in Cheshire working at a plant-based food truck.
Woodyatt got stuck in to help cook and serve hungry punters a variety of vegan street food dishes at the festival.
Pictures from the event show the actor-turned-cook loving his time in the Kilt & Mitt food truck kitchen.

“You won’t believe 100% plant-based food can taste this good”
The menu included vegan tacos, tater tots, vegan chicken wings, corndog, and even a plant-based chocolate mousse with a Pimms summer berry compote.
Although Woodyatt is not vegan himself, he was blown away by the flavours of his plant-based food, sharing to his 106K followers on Instagram: “You won’t believe 100% plant-based food can taste this good.”
Fans of the actor praised him and the team for their plant-based food. One fan even said: “The best food at Carfest! Absolutely delicious.”
Another added: “My only bad move was leaving it until the last day to get these, they were unreal!”
Since his departure from the hit soap opera, Adam Woodyatt has turned his focus to fine dining and cooking.
Eastenders goes meat-free
Fans of Eastenders will be no strangers to seeing the locals of Albert Square tucking into a bacon sandwich. However, since 2020 Eastenders producers cut meat from the screen and only allow vegan and vegetarian food to be served to reduce their carbon footprint.
Additionally, a number of actors on the show have come forward to promote a plant-based lifestyle.
Actress Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter on the show, follows a plant-based diet and regularly promotes her meat-free lifestyle to her fans on social media.
While actor Danny Hatchard, who plays Lee Carter, is an advocate for veganism has spoken on the Simply Vegan Podcast to encourage others to support the cause.
