The chickpea puff snack HIPPEAS has launched limited edition Minions-themed packs just in time for the new movie release.

The vegan snack brand HIPPEAS has just launched a new limited edition to celebrate the launch of the upcoming Minions movie, Minions: Rise of Gru.

There are three enticing flavours to choose from: Take it Cheesy, Salt & Vinegar Vibes, and Sweet and Smokin’.

The memorable smiling face that features on the packaging for HIPPEAS will be replaced with a cheeky Minion character for a limited time.

CEO of HIPPEAS, Paul Nardone, said in a statement, “Minions are a global pop-culture phenomenon, and we could not be more thrilled to collaborate with Illumination on this limited-edition release of our HIPPEAS® Chickpea Puffs.

“The combination of these two iconic and colourful brands – HIPPEAS®, known for its bright yellow bag, and Minions, the beloved mischievous yellow scene-stealers – feels so joyful and fun. We can’t wait to share these snacks with consumers of all ages this summer.”

Chickpeas are incredibly healthy, and these chickpea puffs contain a decent amount of nutrients. Each bag contains an average of 1.3 grams of fibre and 3.5 of plant-based protein.

In addition, the whole product range of HIPPEAS is vegan, gluten-free, and free from both palm oil and MSG.

These new limited-edition packs will be available from a selection of outlets and retail stores, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, JS, Waitrose, Planet Organic, and many more.

They are also available nationwide from uk.hippeas.com and will be available until August 2022.

The sustainability of chickpeas

HIPPEAS has become famous for making chickpeas an enjoyable snack option for the whole family, without having to come in the form of houmous or roasted chickpeas.

Aside from its main chickpea snack puffs, it also brought the first chickpea tortilla chips to the UK.

Chickpea plants themselves are a great sustainable option for the environment. Each plant that is grown releases nitrogen back into the earth naturally, which in turn supports the plant growth.

In the attempt to spread the message to #GivePeasAChance, HIPPEAS collaborating and promoting the new Minions movie will be a great opportunity to spread the word to a big audience.
