Oat milk chocolate brand H!P (Happiness in Plants) has unveiled its new vegan white chocolate bar.
The White Berry Crunch bar promises to be a creamy dairy-free alternative to traditional milk chocolate. H!P’s oat milk white chocolate is studded with crunchy biscuit pieces and dried raspberries and blueberries for a fruity twist.
What’s more, the brand claims that Berry Crunch has 30% less sugar than the average high street dairy white chocolate, and 41% more cocoa too!
H!P developed its new bar in a response to the growing demand for a vegan-friendly white chocolate product.
In a statement, H!P founder James Cadbury shared: “White chocolate sales in the UK hit £179million in 2020 and continue to perform strongly.
“The brand’s success is a testament to the ever-growing popularity of oat milk, which has firmly achieved mainstream status and is more sustainable to produce versus traditional dairy chocolate. We can’t wait to hear what H!P fans think of this new bar!”
Interestingly, H!P’s founder, James Cadbury, is the great-great-great-grandson of the legendary chocolatier Mr John Cadbury.
White Berry Crunch is available at the brand’s online store for £3 (RRP).
Vegan white chocolate bars available
While the release of vegan chocolate bars has boomed in recent years, dairy-free white chocolate launches have not been as frequent.
However, with demand from consumers continuing to grow, more brands are tapping into white chocolate alternatives.
In April, Galaxy’s smooth white vegan bar made with almond paste hit the shelves. While many people welcomed the latest addition from the chocolate brand, others criticised the bar for being overpriced.
Additionally, LoveRaw, Vego, and MooFree have launched their own white chocolate alternatives.
