Ice-cream brand Häagen-Dazs is launching it’s four vegan ice-cream flavours in grocery stores nationwide throughout the USA.

Last year, ice-cream brand Häagen-Dazs quietly introduced four non-dairy ice-cream flavours to market in the USA. However, the four flavours were only available to purchase exclusively from Target.

But there’s good news for ice-cream lovers as all four of the deliciously dairy-free flavours will be rolling out in grocery stores nationwide across the US in the coming weeks, and will retail at $5.49.

The flavours

  • The Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge flavour is made from ingredients including corn syrup, sugar, and peanuts and is soy-, almond-, and cashew-free.
  • Coconut Caramel is made primarily with coconut cream and sugar
  • Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle is made with a Belgian chocolate base and contains soy
  • Mocha Chocolate Cookie flavour is made with the same nut-free chocolate base and contains wheat (the other flavours are gluten-free).

According to Häagen-Dazs: “To ensure the flavor and texture is as delicious and rich as the ice cream HäagenDazs is known for, the non-dairy collection focuses on each flavor’s core ingredient rather than simply substituting dairy with soy, almond or cashew milk. “From decadent Belgian chocolate to creamy peanut butter to rich coconut cream, each flavor delivers an incredibly indulgent non-dairy experience with a more authentic taste and creamier texture.”

Häagen-Dazs’ entry into the non-dairy market follows the lead of other big-name brands including Ben & Jerry’s, Cornetto and Breyers.

Unfortunately we have no word on when the new flavours will be hitting stores in the UK, but let Häagen-Dazs know on Facebook and Twitter that you’d love to see them on sale here, and there is demand for these new products here too.
