Fan-favourite vegan sausage rolls may be missing from Greggs counters due to supply chain issues.
Brits are facing a shortage of Greggs vegan sausage rolls as a result of supply chain disruption.
Greggs has warned of “temporary interruptions” to the vegan pastry as the UK continues to experience some food shortages.
The unfortunate shortage comes after Greggs boss Roger Whiteside declared last month that despite economy-wide issues with getting products to shelves “the sausage roll is safe.”
The Greggs vegan sausage roll has been available on the bakery’s hot counter since 2019, and has since become a British favourite and a profit-booster for Greggs.
A spokesman for the chain said “some shops may not have them or may not have them throughout the day – it varies”, but added the company was working hard to minimise problems.
The bakery chain told customers on Twitter that it was also experiencing supply issues with sweeteners and sugar, and sausage and bean melts.

Greggs has also delayed the launch of its festive range after dealing with production challenges.
Vegan pastry fans may find themselves lacking for plant-based options in Greggs this week but can look forward to the launch of the highly anticipated Vegan Festive Bake on the 22nd November.
