Greggs vegan menu is continuing to grow, as it has added a new savoury pastry to its offering.
The Vegan Mexican Chicken Free-Bake is available from Greggs outlets across the UK from today (April 20).
It features a crispy pastry case topped with a cheese-flavour crumb, stuffed with THIS! vegan chicken pieces, mixed vegetables and Mexican style tomato sauce.
The new bake, which costs from £1.90, and has 426 calories, will be available for an unspecified limited timeframe.

Writing about the pastry on its website, Greggs said: “Say hasta luego to boring lunches and hola to the all-new Vegan Mexican Chicken-Free Bake.
“Yep that’s right, there’s a new vegan delight hitting the shelves of a Greggs near you.
“Packed full of flavour, this Mexican-inspired masterpiece is made with chicken-free pieces, mixed vegetables and Mexican style tomato sauce, packed into a deliciously crispy pastry case topped with a cheese-flavour crumb.

Greggs vegan options
The high street bakery, which has become surprisingly vegan-friendly in recent years, made its first foray into plant-based options with the launch of its vegan Greggs sausage roll in January 2019.
As a result of launching this revamped version of the bakery’s flagship product, the chain – which boasts around 2,200 outlets across the UK – became popular among plant-based diners.
While the brand offers limited edition vegan products throughout the year, it boasts a number of options which are available regularly.
These include the Glazed Ring Doughnut, Sweet Potato and Onion Bhaji Rice Box, Southern Fried Potato Wedges, Vegan Sausage Breakfast Roll and Hash Browns.
