In addition to the welcome rewards, Greggs is offering its customers rewards every time they shop. Each Greggs purchase will be rewarded with a stamp, after 9 stamps the 10th item will be free.

The bakery will also give app users a free birthday treat each year.

Greggs’ reward offer will run until January 2nd 2023.

The success of Greggs vegan sausage rolls

Greggs won the hearts of vegans across the UK with the launch of its iconic vegan sausage roll in 2019.

The launch was a huge success for the company and lead to 25,000 employees receiving a £300 bonus.

The ‘meaty’ filling of the sausage roll is made of Quorn Mycoprotein – a meat-free alternative made from fermented fungus. According to Quorn, Mycoprotein releases 95% less CO² than beef mince.

Greggs’ vegan sausage roll launch caused a stir for some, Piers Morgan famously broke the internet with his dramatic reaction to tasting the plant-based bake. Which actually drove herds of customers to want to try the sausage roll.

Since its launch, the bakery has expanded its vegan options ranging from bakes to baguettes.
