High street bakery giant Greggs has announced that it will be giving away free festive bakes throughout December this year.
A total of 50,000 bakes will be given away and all you need to do is download the free Greggs app and redeem the offer.
Both vegan and non-vegan festive bakes are included in the offer, and Greggs’ existing offer to get a free hot drink with each download can be redeemed alongside it.
Once downloaded, the app will give customers even more offers including a loyalty stamp scheme that makes every 10th purchase free.
Just imagine all the free vegan sausage rolls regular visitors could get.
Greggs vegan options
In 2019, Greggs released its first vegan product, the vegan sausage roll.
The now-iconic pastry was created in collaboration with Quorn and created quite a stir among vegans and meat-eaters alike.
After the launch of the vegan sausage roll, Greggs reported increased profits as a result of its viral success.
Following on from this success, Greggs has added more and more vegan options to its menu including vegan versions of its popular steak bake and cheese and bean melt.
Vegans can also pick up sweet treats from Greggs, like doughnuts, hot cross buns, and mince pies.
The highly anticipated festive bake, which launched this year, is filled with Quorn pieces, sage and onion stuffing, and a vegan bacon crumb, and is finished with a Christmassy cranberry and sage sauce.
When Vegan Food and Living taste-tested the bake, it was described as “spot on” in flavour, and featuring “all the greasy goodness you’d expect from a Greggs bake.”
The new pastry is definitely worth a try – especially for free!
