GreenVie Foods’ award-winning vegan mozzarella is making its supermarket debut as it launches at over 260 Tesco stores.

The dairy-free mozzarella alternative, which won the BBC’s Good Food Awards last year for Best Vegan Cheese, is rolling out to 262 Tesco stores across the country from today (6 July).

Not only is the mozzarella alternative free-from dairy, but it’s also a great option for those with multiple food allergies as it is also free from gluten, soy, and palm oil.

The dairy-free cheese is a versatile product that has a ‘soft, creamy texture which holds its shape when raw but melts enticingly when cooked’ according to the company.

According to Instagram account VeganFood UK, GreenVie’s Managing Director and Founder Maria Palme said: “We are going through a plant-based revolution and we are more than happy to be part of it by creating the future of food: products that are sustainable, healthy and cruelty-free.

“[We’re] Excited to continue to our commitment, expand to new locations, and keep inspiring new and existing customers all over the world to follow a plant-based lifestyle!”
