Gordon Ramsay, the chef famous for his meaty burgers and Wellingtons, is now the face of the USA’s best-selling plant-based milk brand, Silk.

Silk’s oat milk range has proved popular in the US and has recently been voted the best tasting oat milk in the US.

Ramsay has joined a group of celebrities to endorse Silks latest campaign, deeming the dairy-free product the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time).

The unlikely candidate has previously shunned the vegan movement and criticised plant-based diets.

However, Ramsay seems to have changed his views for the better and is embracing plant-based foods at home and in his restaurants.

Gordon Ramsay for oat milk

Gordon Ramsay has joined Alicia Silverstone, Aubrey Fisher and Gabi Butler to promote the brand’s G.O.A.T campaign.

In a social post promoting the campaign, Ramsay confessed: “It took my kids getting on me, but now I really enjoy cooking more plant-based dishes at home and in my restaurants.

“Let me tell you, I know greatness when I taste it, and I am loving Silk Oatmilk for both sweet and savoury recipes.”

Since 2018, Ramsay has become more dedicated to including plant-based options in his restaurants.

The chef explained: “From a restaurateur’s point of view, I could see a more creative demand for it. So it keeps chefs on their toes. And then when I got to delve into the detail of what that movement meant, I had gone on to oat milk.

“With the sort of demanding times in my schedule, cutting dairy out of my diet on a day-to-day basis was absolutely crucial.”
