The Game Changers sequel will go into production later this year, with some familiar faces returning. Here’s all the details we know so far…
Released in 2018, the original film highlighted the ‘explosive rise of plant-based eating in professional sports’.
It featured a slew of sporting legends including F1 champ Lewis Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, and tennis ace Novak Djokovic – and topped streaming charts around the world.
According to reports, the documentary has now amassed a staggering 100 million views and ‘created a measurable shift’ in encouraging people to eat more plant-based.
Now, the creators of the film have partnered with media giant The SpringHill Company to continue the narrative, under its subsidiary Uninterrupted.

The Game Changers sequel – all we know
The sequel, co-directed by Stephanie Soechtig and Kristin Lazure, will reportedly begin production this summer.
It will tackle subjects including ‘children’s health, food justice, and the environment‘ as well as how diet affects athletic performance.
Many of the original A-list cast and exec producers are expected to return, along with new involvement from basketball pro LeBron James – co-founder of Uninterrupted.
A ‘profound impact’
According to Deadline, Philip Byron of The SpringHill Company said the sequel provided opportunity to ‘expand on the cultural conversation around the fundamental role food can play in addressing some of the most critical issues of our time’.
Soechtig and Lazure added: ”The Game Changers had a profound impact on us as individuals and as filmmakers.
“We know there’s so much more to unpack, and we couldn’t be more excited to join this team.”
