Fry’s Family Food Co., a popular South African brand of plant-based meat alternatives, has launched a brand new chilled range of grab-and-go vegan food options.

Fry's Family Food Co. release new range of healthy vegan products

The new offering from Fry’s includes four meat-free food products aimed at vegans and meat-eaters alike.

The brand new range includes 12 delicious products, such as grab-and-go pasties and ready-to-eat pies (yes, vegan on-the-road pies), to premium boxed pies and Southern Style Tenders.

The ready-to-eat pies come in tasty flavours such as: vegetable curry, pepper steak-style, and chicken style. Also included in the grab-and-go pasty range is a Mediterranean veg & squash slice, a sausage roll, and a spicy three bean pasty.

The new launch comes at a good time as the past few years have seen a huge amount of growth in the vegan market as more people opt to follow a vegan or plant-based diet for ethical, health and environmental reasons.

Tammy Fry Kelly, international marketing director for The Fry Family Food Co, comments: “We’re seeing that meat-free diets are becoming more mainstream, and retailers in the UK estimate that the meat-free market is currently worth around £270 million and is growing at 6% each year globally. Within the sector, meat-free products no longer belong in a separate freezer and are now merchandised alongside meat equivalent products.””

The range is available to buy from fridges in Holland & Barrett stores across the UK
