Frozen pizza brand Goodfella’s is adding a brand new vegan pizza to its plant-based range after the successful launch of its first vegan offering.
Frozen pizza brand Goodfella’s successfully entered the vegan market last year with the launch of its first plant-based pizza topped with falafel, red peppers, spinach, white onion, spicy harissa sauce and a moreish hummus drizzle.
Now the company is adding another vegan product to its range in the form of a stonebaked Spicy Vegetable Salsa pizza (£2.50), and it comes complete with vegan cheese!
The pizza features a thin stonebaked pizza base topped with spicy tomato sauce, cheddar-style vegan cheese from VBites, red and green peppers, black beans, red onion, sweetcorn, salsa drizzle and a spiced crumb.
Speaking about the decision to add a new cheesy vegan pizza to the range, Alex Brown, Brand Manager at Goodfella’s, said in a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living: “We have partnered with VBites on the Vegan cheese, and we are very pleased by the final result. We knew that our next Vegan extension needed to have Vegan cheese on it, to ensure we were appealing to the ever-growing Vegan shopper. However, we also wanted to add spice and exciting ingredients onto this product, which we hope we have achieved.”
The Spicy Vegetable Pizza will be available to purchase in Tesco and Sainsbury’s after it is rolled nationwide over the next two-three weeks.
