Family-friendly Italian restaurant chain Frankie & Benny’s is launching its first standalone vegan menu on January 2nd in celebration of Veganuary.

This January, the restaurant will be welcoming 8 brand new dishes to its vegan menu, brining bringing the total number of vegan dishes on offer to an impressive 30.
Starters
Start your meal with one of the new starters which include Vegan Loaded Skins – fully loaded baked potato skins stuffed with red pepper, olive and sundried tomato, topped with vegan cheese and served with vegan mayo.
In keeping with its Italian roots, the restaurant has also added mini Mushroom Ravioli parcels served with a spicy Arrabiatta sauce to the menu which are filled with Porcini mushrooms, spinach, dairy-free cheese and garlic before being deep-fried until crisp and golden.

Mains
Vegans are spoilt for choice now when it comes to choosing their main meal from Frankie & Benny’s new vegan menu. Joining the lineup is an American-style 6” vegan sausage complete with fried onions and vegan mayonnaise and a rich lentil and soy mince Rigatoni Ragu bake with tomato, grilled red pepper, red wine, fennel & thyme with rigatoni pasta and creamy vegan béchamel.

Pizzas fans will be pleased to hear that the chain is also launching its first vegan calzone, the Calzone Vegano, which is bursting at the seams with roasted peppers, courgette, soy protein, Neapolitan tomato sauce, vegan cheese and basil.
Desserts
A tempting selection of vegan sweet treats are launching on the dessert menu alongside existing dishes such as the vegan tiramisu and the no-cheesecake.
Tuck into the sumptuous Chocolate & Raspberry Lava Cake which is comprised of warm chocolate and raspberry sponge cake with a gooey top and comes served with a scoop of vegan choc-chip ice cream.
There’s also a classic Apple Crumble with sweet apple compote topped with vegan oats and a scoop of dairy-free ice-cream.

We always want ensure that our dishes not only reflect their Italian American heritage and feel right for the brand but also really appeal to the flavours and dishes that the vegan guests are looking for.
“With veganism showing no sign of slowing down, creating more choice and catering for different occasions is key – from the quintessentially Italian American plantballs, to a salad with interesting tastes and textures or an unbelievably creamy cheesecake, we’re hoping to show that there is no need for compromise when it comes to vegan food.
