In response to the growing demand for meat-free options from customers, family-friendly Italian restaurant chain Frankie & Benny’s has added 20 delicious new vegan options to its menu to give customers plenty of choices this Veganuary.
UK-based Italian-American restaurant chain Frankie & Benny’s has added over 20 tempting new options to their menu this January to meet the growing demand from customers for meat-free options.
The company launched a new healthier menu including a variety of vegan options in 2018, increasing its vegan options by sixfold, but has added some more decadent plant-based dishes this January to delight their customers’ taste buds.
The 20 new irresistible options include vegan versions of the chains popular dishes such as the ‘I Ain’t No Chicken’ chicken parmigiana’ and vegan mac and cheese which features creamy cauliflower sauce with butternut squash, pasta, a crisp herb crumb and rocket.
There’s also ‘Viva La Vegan’ burgers with gherkins, burger sauce and red onions, hot dogs, nuggets, garlic pizza bread with vegan mozzarella and ever a BBQ “chicken” pizza with vegan chicken strips, BBQ sauce, vegan mozzarella alternative, red onions and chives.
If you have room for dessert after tucking into your main you can now treat yourself to a truly decadent sundae topped with vegan marshmallows and a squirt of non-dairy whipped cream, as well as a mouth-watering chocolate lava cake.
Members of vegan charity PETA were invited to the restaurant to sample the new menu and speak to the head of food at the restaurant chain, Holly Davies, about the new vegan options.
According to Davies: “Having something for everyone is so important to us at Frankie & Benny’s. We have worked in collaboration with PETA and we now have over 20 vegan dishes across the menu. We know the interest in vegan food is absolutely booming and not just for vegans. Because of this, we wanted to try something a little bit different.”
