It's official, the first-ever vegan caterpillar cake is here!

Just when you thought all the caterpillar cake drama was over, the Just Love Food Company has unveiled a brand new cake.
Forget Aldi’s Cuthbert and even M&S’s OG Colin, Archie the Egg-Free Caterpillar Cake is the new one to watch.
With a completely vegan chocolate cake body, sprinkles and a fondant icing face, Archie sounds absolutely delicious.
His smile may look a bit apprehensive, but we’re confident he’ll be the life and soul of any vegan party.
What’s more, he’s also completely nut-free, making him suitable for vegans and those suffering from nut allergies.
Archie is even named after the little boy who inspired the charity that protects children with allergies, Archies Allergies. How lovely!
‘Is it safe to come out yet?’
The Just Love Food Company revealed a photo of Archie’s hesitant face with the question “is it safe to come out yet?” After all the recent caterpillar drama, we think Archie is a welcome addition to the gang!
The brand continued: “We’re so excited to announce that we will be launching the first vegan caterpillar cake into @thevegankindsupermarket next month!
“The bravest caterpillar in town has been named after our very own allergy hero @archiesallergies & we are so excited to be able to share his story with you all!”
Vecreations Vegan Caterpillar Cake
While Archie will be the first-ever vegan caterpillar cake to be commercially available, talented vegan baker Beth at @Vecreationrecipes created her own version back in 2019 called Charlie.
She even created a vegan white chocolate Biscoff edition, which went viral on social media and across various online news outlets. Beth has shared her recipe for her famous vegan caterpillar cake on her website for those who fancy making their own at home.
Beth is something of a vegan baking magician and has created vegan versions of everything from French Fancies to Battenberg cake.
