Vegan recipe creator Exceedingly Vegan hopes to raise £5,000 to fund production of its debut range of dips and dressings, Dressini.
Vegan recipe creator and blogger Exceedingly Vegan is branching out to create a new range of vegan products through crowd-funding site Kickstarter to help to launch a vibrant and versatile selection of tahini-based vegan dressings.
Starting from £6 for a Surprise selection, Dressini is offering crowd funders a chance to get involved at the start of what is set to be a highly successful project.
A natural dairy replacement
Dressini came about when former chain-smoking meat eater Philipp Ertl was searching for a good dairy replacement. Philipp has been vegan for 5 years and is passionate about cooking, creating recipes and sharing fun and simple-to-follow videos on his blog and to his huge social media following.
His mission is simple – he aims to be a positive role model, bringing everybody to the table together, whether they eat meat or not, and his mouth-watering dishes can be enjoyed by all.
High in calcium
Of Dressini, Philipp says: “I first came across tahini when I was looking at dairy replacements for dips and dressings, and it was love at first sight! Tahini is made from blended sesame seeds and tastes a little like yoghurt or sour cream.” Philipp found that most condiments available on the market are unhealthy and laden with saturated fat, but tahini delivers health benefits along with a great taste. It has almost four times more calcium than milk, it is high in iron and protein and rich in vitamins and minerals, too.
3 natural flavours
Dressini comes in three flavours – fragrant turmeric and ginger, vibrant beetroot and roasted garlic, and classic herb and roasted garlic. They can each be used as a salad dressing, to enhance soups, added to rice dishes, poured over roasted vegetables, used alone as a healthy, delicious dip or enjoyed as the perfect replacement for pesto or mayonnaise.
Exceedingly Vegan aims to get Dressini out to the consumer through major retailers, and the Kickstarter campaign will help to raise the necessary funds for production, packaging and storage.
