Alfredo Piferi, who previously held the position of a top designer at Jimmy Choo and has worked with high-fashion brands including Burberry, is putting his best foot forward with the launch of a high-end vegan footwear collection.

The designer is all set to debut Piferi, his vegan luxury collection brand which will be made in Italy, at this European collections season, according to Footwear News.

The official Instagram account for the new launch describes the collection as ‘vegan shoes made divine’ and features striking and fashion-forward designs.

According to the source, the range is not only environmentally conscious but also has its own distinct sense of style.

Speaking at his London showroom last week, creator Alfredo Piferi said his creation is not just about shoes, but what they stand for.

“I started Pīferi with the idea of creating a product with a purpose,” he said, adding “All my shoes are leather-free, and for me, this is a challenge. I think it’s really what the future holds for us.”

Pīferi shoes exhibit a powerful design and style statement. FANTASIA, a high-heel (yes, inspired by the Disney film of the same name), for instance, will be the brand’s icon.

Featuring a 100 mm heel and a fully detachable ruffled ankle soquette, this model is made from sustainable materials like recycled plastic, nylon, and lurex. The footwear will retail at $795 with the sock and $695 without.

Another sustainable design in the range is a suede boot made from recycled plastic bottles which features a bejeweled anklet that can be worn with the boot or without.

Exclusive launch

Pīferi’s shoes have already captured the attention of big retailers looking for animal-free fashion to sell in stores.

Upmarket British footwear and accessories retailer Kurt Geiger’s London department store will exclusively launch the collection in May as a month-long pop-up.

“Alfredo Pīferi’s first collection caught my eye as it’s feminine, sensual and fun. He has created a luxury vegan collection that stands out as his sculpture heel, fun pink details and anklet socks are divine. Piferi is definitely a name to watch,” Kurt Geiger’s GMM said.
