Takeaway pizza giant Domino’s is finally trialling two new vegan-friendly recipes in 46 stores* across the UK and Republic of Ireland from today.
Vegan pizzas fans have been asking the company for a number of years to release a vegan pizza, which are currently offered by high-street competitors including Papa John’s and Pizza Hut.
In 2018, Domino’s trialled a ‘Vegan Supreme’ pizza with vegan cheese at select stores in the UK, but despite the company offering vegan options in countries such as the Netherlands and Australia, the option was not rolled out for nationwide release… until now!

- Papa John’s launches four new vegan pizzas including vegan sausage and pepperoni
- Applewood partners with vegan companies to launch UK’s first vegan cheeseburger pizza
Domino’s has spent over a year developing two new pizzas with a freshly made, vegan dough base – the Vegan Margherita and the Vegan Vegi Supreme
The new plant-based Vegan Margherita will be made using Domino’s very own vegan cheese alternative, as well as its signature vine-ripened tomato sauce.
The Vegan Vegi Supreme is topped with a rainbow of delicious and fresh vegetables, including mushrooms, sweetcorn, onions, green and red peppers and tomatoes.
Customers will also be able to customise their pizzas with a number of vegan toppings in the Vegan Friendly range such as onions, fresh tomatoes, jalapeno peppers.
The trial Vegan Friendly range will be available in a medium-size and will come with a vegan-friendly Domino’s BBQ sauce for dipping.
In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Aman Prasher, Domino’s Chief Vegan Dough Developer said: “Our vegan offering has been a while coming because we’re determined to make sure it’s full of our iconic Domino’s flavour. We might not be first but we’re always the best – no compromises.
“Our dedicated pizza chefs are incredibly excited for our fans to try this new and improved latest dough as we believe we’ve nailed it. If they agree, and love it as much as we do, Domino’s will roll out nationwide. We’ve now busy working on some toppings and sides -so watch this space!”
