The food blogger behind plant-based brand Deliciously Ella is preparing to open her first vegan restaurant in Central London next week, serving up deliciously diverse plant-based foods.

Ella Mills’ latest venture, Plants by de, will focus on celebrating the delicious diversity and abundance of plants. Plants by de will serve its guests natural, plant-based foods with plates filled with colourful and fresh meals that everyone can enjoy.

The plant-based restaurant will take over Mills’ deli Deliciously Ella on Londons Weighhouse Street.

After the deli was forced to close due to the pandemic, Ella and her partner Matt, who is also the CEO of the Deliciously Ella brand, reimagined the space and decided to take a chance and open their first vegan restaurant.

Mills took to Instagram to announce the opening of Plants by de, explaining that opening a plant-based restaurant was always the couple’s dream but wasn’t something that was financially feasible.

“Our deli on Weighhouse Street has been a home for us, but we’ve always felt it could be so much better if we could do more of a restaurant experience. We’ve been closed for most of the last fifteen months and have spent a lot of that time reflecting on how we could make that initial dream a reality.”

The entrepreneur went on the share how the deli has been transformed into a restaurant featuring a large kitchen, a brand new menu, table service, outdoor seating, and plant-based cocktails.

Mills confessed to her Instagram followers: “Pouring so many resources into this in the midst of a pandemic has been daunting in many ways, but as we get closer to opening, the excitement is really building.”
