The McCartney family is releasing a vegan cookbook filled with plant-based recipes from the OG vegetarian herself, Linda McCartney.
Linda McCartney was in a lot of ways the OG vegetarian, pioneering meat-free living before it became mainstream.
She shared her compassion for animals with her family, creating home-cooked vegetarian meals everyone could enjoy.
Now, the McCartney family Paul, Stella and Mary have re-imagined Linda’s classic recipes in a vegan cookbook, filled with 100 simple recipes that complement the modern lifestyle.
Titled ‘Linda McCartney’s Family Kitchen’ the cookbook will not only include recipes but also feature intimate family photos and stories spanning three decades.
Alongside family favourites such as American-Style Pancakes, Chilli Non-Carne, Sausage Rolls and Shepherd’s Pie, Paul, Mary and Stella share the dishes they cook most at home: Pad Thai, Pulled Jackfruit Burgers, Panzanella Salad and Crunchy Pecan Cookies.

‘Linda was blazing the trail with vegetarianism’
Speaking about the cookbook, Paul MacCartney explained:
“Years ago, before anyone had woken up to the idea of environmental and health and animal welfare issues, Linda was blazing the trail with vegetarianism, telling people about it and promoting it.
“At home, she would cook for the family and these recipes have been now brought up to date for a modern audience, so they’re all now plant-based and fabulous.
“In the book, there are family photographs and stories from those days, and of course lots of great, beautiful tasting healthy recipes.
“So I hope this book inspires conversations about sustainability and about modern living amongst people besides also just giving them some great recipes to eat.’’
Linda McCartney’s Family Kitchen will be available on the 21st of June for £25 in hardback from Amazon and Waterstones.
