The Asian selection consists of lemongrass vegetable ‘candles’ which are filled with yambean, water chestnut, lotus seed, carrot and mangetout in pastry, and Sweetcorn & Mangetout Twisters Sweetcorn with white corn and mangetout.
Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without a glass of mulled wine in one hand and a warm mince pie in the other. Thankfully the Co-op has added some delicious vegan mince pies to its festive range that are sure to hit the spot. Made with a vegan-friendly shortcrust pastry filled with mincemeat and topped with a pastry star and sweet dusting, these sweet pastries cost just 90p.
Describing the new festive vegan range, the company said: “When the shops are busy at Christmas, it’s tempting to stock up on food for the festivities early but what if you find out last minute that one of your guests for a party or the big day is vegan? At Co-op, we’ve got you covered for all the trimmings, making sure nobody’s left out in the cold.”
