Leading vegan chef and founder of The Alternative Kitchen, Stu Henshall, has curated a fresh, organic and plant-based menu with wellbeing at the core of its philosophy.

Henshall’s food focuses on bringing plant-based cooking to the omnivore’s table. In 2014, he came off the road after 10 years as a touring musician working with the likes of The Prodigy and immersed himself in the culinary world. Appearing on The Great British Bake Off he quickly decided that his true calling was to make food solely from the earth with an obsession to create delicious food that benefits your health and the planet.

Stu’s food focuses on being universally delicious, inclusive and good for the body, mind and soul, with the menu taking inspiration from the small-plate culture of Spanish tapas and Middle Eastern mezze while adopting its unique cuisine style.

All of the ingredients used in the dishes are sourced from the closest farms, are as pure and organic as possible and 100% plant-based. The fruits and vegetables are also bathed in reverse osmosis ionised water, the purest form of water.

With a wide range of medicinal teas, smoothies, tonics, premium organic wines and champagnes, the drinks menu is the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

Founder of Cloud Twelve, Jenya Emets is a fully qualified naturopath and herbalist who has created the medicinal herbal tea blends to aid digestion, detoxify the body and de-stress the mind.

Speaking about the mission of Cloud Twelve, Chef Stu said: “We wanted to have a comforting and relaxed offering that was informal, nutritious, entirely plant-based, and of course delicious, but delivered with 5-star service and in an elegant environment.  My personal goal is to normalise veganism and so our menu provides balance without beasts and each item is developed to offer key health benefits and the ability to provide complete nutrition with our staff being able to give guidance to people of all diets.  Through education, we can make healthy changes that benefit ourselves, the planet, and every living thing on it.

“The menu changes monthly with weekly specials.  We also have a completely nut-free menu for children in the family members’ space and all our offering is organic and mostly gluten free.  Our drinks menu is extensive with fine vegan wines through to medicinal teas to soothe the body, mind and soul.”

The Cloud Twelve Brasserie is open at 2-5 Colville Mews in Notting Hill for walk-ins and reservations to members and non-members.
