Clive’s Pies has fulfilled our wildest vegan dreams and created a 100% plant-based quiche Lorraine.

Using a unique blend of okara (the whey from making soya blend) and Kala Namak, a sulphurous rock salt, Clive’s have mimicked the perfect eggy quiche texture.

Clive’s have two new quiches in their range: a Vegan Quiche Lorraine and a Creamy Cauliflower Quiche – who else is salivating already?

The quiche Lorraine will feature maple-cured locally sourced tempeh pieces, seasoned with paprika and marjoram and topped with a slice of tomato.

On the other hand, the Creamy Cauliflower quiche will be packed with an indulgent blend of cauliflower, kale, garlic and turmeric.

Both plant-based quiches are available now from Waitrose, TheVeganKind and Frozenly, so get shopping!

‘Leading the way’

Speaking in a statement sent to Vegan Food and Living, Managing Director at Clive’s Pies Esther Pearson said: “Clive’s have been at the forefront of plant-based innovation for 30 years and we are delighted to be leading the way once again with these vegan quiches.

“Our clever Clive’s team have perfected the recipes and we are very proud of the results. Honestly, with food like these quiches, it makes plant-based eating really easy and tasty.”

‘A new plant-based option’

Charlotte McCarthy, Waitrose buyer for vegetarian and vegan told us: “We are always looking for new and exciting dishes to add to our vegan range and we’re delighted to be the first supermarket to launch these delicious plant-based products from Clive’s.

“The two new quiches complement our existing vegan selection perfectly, offering our customers a new plant-based option that we’re sure they’ll love.”

We can’t wait to try the new quiches, and for an introductory price of just £2 at Waitrose, they’re definitely worth a try!
