French-style bistro Café Rouge, which has with over 78 sites across the UK, is getting set to launch an indulgent vegan afternoon tea complete with tasty baguette bites, olives, classic scones and a sweet selection of ‘plantisseries.’

Full of sweet and savoury delights, diners can enjoy dishes such as a baguette topped with grilled vegetables and a sun-blushed tomato tapenade as well as large green giarraffa olives to start.

An array of sweet ‘plantisseries’ treats are also on offer, with three tempting vegan patisserie-inspired desserts to choose from such as the carrot and pistachio slice, a fruity carrot cake topped with pistachio frosting and flaked pistachios.

There’s also a sumptuous Billionaire Bar which features a chocolate chip biscuit base covered in rich salted toffee, finished with a chocolate ganache and splashes of gold and a fruit crumble with a rhubarb and ginger filling with an oaty crumble top.

Of course, no afternoon tea is complete without scones, and Café Rouge’s includes a selection of fruit scones with strawberry jam and non-dairy spread.

If you really want to push the boat out you can even enjoy a glass of Baileys Almande for an extra £2.50 per person.

Priced at £29.95 for two, the all-vegan afternoon tea has been created especially for Veganuary and will be available between 6th Jan – 31st Jan 2020.
