Cadbury has announced the launch of its brand new vegan Cadbury Plant Bar made with almonds, along with an apology for the delay
After months of waiting, Cadbury has unveiled its first-ever plant-based chocolate bar.
Cadbury Plant Bar has launched in two delicious flavours, Smooth Chocolate and Salted Caramel.
In addition, the chocolatiers issued an apology for the wait for the plant-based chocolate.
The Plant Bar will be priced at £2.50 and available to buy at Sainbury’s from November and other supermarkets and newsagents across the UK from January 2022.
Vegan Cadbury Plant Bar
Cadbury’s vegan Plant Bar marks a milestone for the iconic chocolate brand.
The new vegan certified chocolate bar is made with a blend of cocoa, almond paste, and rice extract, to deliver delicious chocolate, with a lusciously smooth texture.
Accompanying the announcement, Cadbury has issued a very British apology to all plant-based eaters across the country.
The apology reads: “Dear plant-based Britain, We’re sorry.
“Sorry, it’s taken this long. Sorry, it seemed like we weren’t listening. Sorry for not being able to respond to the rumours. And sorry for all the other chocolate you had to eat while you waited.”
Cadbury continued by explaining that it wanted its first vegan chocolate to be perfect.
“We’ve worked hard to add this delicious, dairy-free option to our iconic range”
In a statement made to Vegan Food & Living, Michael Moore, Marketing Manager at Cadbury, said: “We’re delighted to finally confirm that the rumours swirling around Cadbury Plant Bar are true!
“We’ve worked hard to add this delicious, dairy-free option to our iconic range, and we can only apologise for making our fans wait.”
With the rising demand for dairy-free chocolate, we hope that Cadbury’s latest launch will encourage everyone to give plant-based a try.
