British chocolate giant Cadbury has launched a dairy-free version of its iconic chocolate finger biscuits in Sainsbury's - vegan Bournville fingers!
It’s official, Cadbury has finally given us what we want – vegan chocolate fingers!
The chocolate giant has launched the iconic biscuits into Sainsbury’s using their vegan-friendly dark chocolate Bournville.
Christmas 2020 may be somewhat cancelled, but we’ll be too busy eating chocolate fingers to care!
Popular food account Accidentally Vegan UK posted an image of the product, spotted in Sainsbury’s, with an overwhelming response.
Vegan chocolate fans flooded the post with comments, drooling at the new product. Highlights include:
“Smashed two packets already 100000% legit.”
“This is probably my vegan snack of the year tbh.”
“Walking to Sainsburys and standing in the queue just for these!”
With another nostalgic chocolate snack veganised, 2020 is really looking to be the best year to be vegan, and we’ve got extremely high hopes for 2021!
Katie Dade, senior brand manager for Cadbury Biscuits explained in the press release: “Combining this much-loved product with a nostalgic brand like Bournville to create Cadbury Bournville Fingers will be an exciting launch.
“With consumers continuing to spend more nights in at home, we have seen an increase in shoppers looking for the perfect treat to share with others in their households.”
You can currently buy the Bournville Fingers from Sainsbury’s for £1 per pack (currently on offer), however, the fingers are reportedly also launching in Tesco soon.
