To celebrate the chain’s signature burger, customers can claim a flame-grilled Whopper burger totally free on May 18.

The unmissable deal also includes the plant-based Whopper burger, which normally costs £5.49. The best part is no other purchase is necessary – customers can simply download the app the claim their free meal.

How to get a free Whopper at Burger King

To get your free plant-based Whopper burger, simply download the Burger King® UK app, register, and head to your nearest participating branch.

If you’d prefer to have your plant-based patty delivered to your door, you can also get a free Whopper on any Deliveroo order over £15.

The offer is only available for one day and does not include the other Burger King vegan options, so don’t miss your chance to pick up a Whopper burger without spending a penny.

Katie Evans at Burger King UK told us: “The Whopper is Burger King’s hero burger – created using fresh ingredients, made to order your way and flame-grilled to create the signature, mouth-watering flavour that our customers love.  For one day only we think everyone deserves to get involved with a bite of the action and savour a free Whopper on us!

“This Whopper Day, we hope the nation will join us in enjoying a legendary Whopper. If you haven’t tried a Whopper before, here’s the day to try it!”

While Burger King’s Whopper burger is made with entirely vegan ingredients, including vegan mayo, vegans should note that there are cross-contamination issues.

According to the FAQ section on the Burger King UK website, “the Plant-Based Whopper® is plant-based, however it is cooked on the same broiler as our original Whopper® to delivery the same unique flame-grilled taste and therefore the product not certified by the Vegan Society®.”

We visited the UK’s first all-vegan Burger King to see what all the fuss is about, but what is worth it?
