A brand new 100% vegan grocery store is set to open it’s doors in Pennsylvania next month, which will stock a range of plant-based foods and cruelty-free and vegan household products.
The new dedicated vegan shop, which will open in Boyertown, will supply a range of food and home items to make it easier for vegans to do their weekly shop as there’s no need to spend time reading labels!
The grocery store will carry items such as vegan cheeses, meat alternatives, gluten and soy-free options, and frozen foods. Not only that, but the store will also offer household items such as cruelty-free cleaning supplies.
The store will be run by husband and wife team Loriann Wade and Michael Martinez, who also run an vegan eatery called the Firefly Café which is located next to the new grocery store. In fact, the grocery store comes complete with a kitchen at the back that the couple will use to prepare the foods for their café next door.
The couple are also hiring out the kitchen space to allow local cooks making artisanal vegan produce to hire the space, as well as hosting cookery classes.
Vegans in Pennsylvania will be pleased to hear about the new launch, as it is the first of it’s kind in the state. Speaking to a local newspaper, Wade says: “There are not many stores like this in the country.”
Where is the new store located?
