Variety retailer B&M, one of the leading variety retailers in the United Kingdom, has added a range of vegan wines from Proudly Vegan to stores to give customers looking for a vegan bargain plenty of choice.

Spotted by Accidentally Vegan UK on Instagram, the Proudly Vegan wines from Broadland Wineries which hail from  Chile’s Valle Centra, are available in three varieties: Sauvignon blanc, merlot, and rosé.

Broadland Wineries have not only ensured the wines contain no animal products they have also made sure that the labels and the glue used on the bottle are also vegan-friendly.

What makes wine non-vegan? It’s the fining and filtration process that wines and beers go through to make them crystal clear. Historically fining agents would range from animal blood to isinglass (a substance obtained from the dried swim bladders of fish, who on earth discovered that?), but now egg whites are the most commonly used.

Proudly Vegan Wine is available to purchase in stores at B&M and online from Ocado.
