Birds Eye recently released vegan sausage rolls as part of its plant-based Green Cuisine range, and now it’s back with another new meat-free product launch – meat-free meal mixes.

Keen to make mealtimes quicker and simpler, the new Birds Eye Green Cuisine Mixes have been designed to ‘help you to create delicious meat-free versions of classic dinnertime favourites’ such as lasagne and bolognese.

The new range features three dinnertime staples that can be cooked up in just 8-10 minutes; Bolognese Mix, Mexican-style ‘Fajita’ Mix, and Chilli Mix, all of which retail at £3.

The versatile mixes can be used in a wide range of dishes and are made from a meat substitute that is rich in pea protein, low in saturated fat and is a source of fibre, along with vegetables and tasty sauces.

Anne-Marie Gayer, Senior Brand Manager at Birds Eye, said: “We know more people are becoming conscious of their meat intake, but don’t know where to start when it comes to making meat-free meals that their family will enjoy.

“We wanted to make meat-free cooking simpler by offering a range of vegetarian meal mixes, that families can keep in their freezer for the upmost convenience.

” The Green Cuisine Mixes contain all you need to recreate the taste and texture of those crowd-pleasing family meals and the result is something so good, they could even replace their meat counterpart altogether!”.

Birds Eye’s Green Cuisine Mix Kits are available in Tesco stores nationwide from May 25th 2020.
