Beyond Meat's latest product is designed to 'deliver the juicy, tender and delicious bite of seared steak tips'

Beyond Meat vegan steak has finally made its debut.
The plant-based brand hinted at a launch earlier this year, with CEO Ethan Brown saying the meat analogue as “probably one of our best products to date”.
It is designed to ”deliver the juicy, tender and delicious bite of seared steak tips with the added nutritional and environmental benefits of plant-based meat‘.
Made from faba beans, the meat-free product boasts 21 grams of protein per serving, 0mg of cholesterol and is ‘low in saturated fat’.
It is also completely free from GMOs, added hormones and antibiotics.

Beyond Steak can now be found in more than 5,000 Kroger and Walmart stores nationwide, as well as in Albertsons and Ahold divisions and other retailers across the country. Prices start at $7.99.
Beyond Meat has yet to comment when the new item will hit restaurants in the US, though Brown did hint of the possibility happening ‘eventually’.
Similarly, no specific details have been announced about whether the vegan steak will launch in the UK.
